The Tower of Barkel

With our infinite arrogance and pride, humankind has always been a boon companion of folly. Recall, if you will, the story of The Tower of Babel. A monument reaching towards the very heavens; designed to rival the work of the Creator itself. In its righteous and divine fury God cast down the tower, scattered humanity to the four winds and deigned that forever more we speak in tongues foreign to each other. What the story neglects to mention however is that it was not only humans that dared defy God's will. It is this tale that I tell you now.

With God's attention diverted by our trespasses it was the turn of the dogs to play their hand.

For reasons unknown our canine brothers constructed their own tower. It was with their labours finished and their mysterious aim in sight that God came upon their treacherous actions.

So too was it that dogkind was flung to the far corners of the world and afflicted with different languages. Never again will two fellows be able to share stories of exhilarating chases, strange smells or tasty bones.

Through thorough research (this page of wikipedia) I hope to bring back together our dog comrades who for so long have been separated by the actions of their ancestors. I present to you, The Rosetta Bone.
